McGillveray Studios Information

My Equipment Includes

Canon 5D MK II, which is a 21 MP Full Frame DSLR, Canon 5D which is 13 MP Full Frame DSLR, Canon 40D, a very fast 11 MP DSLR. These cameras can produce very fine 16 x 20 and larger inch prints. Various Canon Pro grade L series lens. Four Profoto Compact 600 studio flashes with various light shaping tools, and other fine studio equipment.

Session Location

Sessions are shot at the location of your choice. For example, your child's first birthday, a family trip for ice cream, or your backyard. It is important to pick a location where you and your family are comfortable so you will enjoy the experience. I can also suggest locations that are appropriate. *Extra travel fees apply to locations more than 50 kilometers from Salmon Arm, B.C.

 

Consultation

Before each session, I prefer to have a consultation to get a feel for the personalities of you and your family. During the consultation we will discuss the appropriate location, the details of the shoot, and the date and time the session will be held. I welcome your ideas so you can get the most out of your session.

 

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. The remainder of your balance is due on the day of your session along with a completed contract. *Cancellations due to sickness or weather will be gladly rescheduled. Your deposit will be applied to the rescheduled date.

 

Ordering

Your proofs will be presented in a private online proof gallery one week after your session. You will have 4 weeks to view and order your images. Orders can be done via Email or phone. Once your 4 week viewing period is over, the online proof gallery may be removed at any time. Your images will be retained, probably until I die, but without guarantee.

Basic Studio Session

A basic studio session lasts for about 1 1/2 hours and will be $40.00. No deposit is required for this but the $40.00 is due at the end of the shoot. This is for 1 to 4 people including children. A $10.00 fee is charged for each additional person.

 

Basic Location Session

The basic session is ideal for any type of portrait session. This session includes 2 hours of the photographers time and talent. The cost is $100 with travel up to 50 kilometers from Fort St. John. For travel exceeding that, a charge of $40.00 per hour billed in 1/2 hour portions.

 

Weddings

$400.00 for basic coverage. Photographs taken in the home, the church and the reception. Candid pictures, casual portraits and informal family groups are professionally taken and reproduced. A minimum of 50 colour prints 5x7's and 8x10's to build an album. Please contact me for availability and pricing. I tailor my wedding packages to suit your individual needs and a DVD with the shoot is included.

 

Passport Photos

I will also do passport photos with instant results for $15.00

 

Restoring Photographs

I can retouch and restore your old photographs, without touching the original.
