Varadaro

I purchased a Canon G9 for a small camera to bring with me to Cuba. I wanted a small camera as sometimes I want to go for a walk without having to pack a DSLR with heavy lens. I found this camera to work very well, is very versatile and worth the price. Digital photographic gear now a days is good stuff for the money. I forgot in the video, to mention, the lens is a 38 – 210mm (f:2.8 – 4.8) zoom range in 35mm equivalent format and is optically image stabilized. (7.4 – 44.4mm actual) That is quite a sweet spot I think, we want a wider range but it would not be so compact.

Click on the “Play Now” the “Play In Popup” or the “Download” link below the see my Videocast Review of this camera.

I also uploaded a .AVI movie file right from the camera, if you want to see the quality of the movies from this camera. It is a pan of the beach I was staying at in Varadero Cuba, it is 1min 14 sec long and 149Mb. Click Here to download it. It will take you to a download page with the real link. This is nessary to keep the RSS feed intact.

Also I uploaded a RAW file right from the camera so you can see that quality, Click Here to download it.

Yours Truly

Hi there all and welcome to my first video podcast. Today I am doing another first, a review. This review is about the Canon 40D. As time goes on digital cameras just keep getting better and cheaper and this camera is no exception. Please don’t be to critical as this is the first time for doing anything like this. I used the camera in my laptop, tungsten lights clamped to my monolight stands and my little mic taped to a mini tripod. I am also a still camera only guy and video is also new to me. You have to start somewhere! I’m having fun and I hope you are too.
