I just got a letter from BMO today saying that they are raising the interest rate of my line of credit. I sure am getting to know why bankers are now the most hated profession in the world. The Bank of Canada has lowered interest rates to near zero and the banks are taking it and more. The Bank of Canada and the government of Canada have given them billions of dollars to help stabilize them from the world credit crises. The help was to make sure they had enough money to lend the people of Canada. The money is coming from the people of Canada. Now they are going to charge the people more for the money that was meant to help pick up the economy. The American bankers brought this depression upon us by lending cheap money to people who could not afford it. The American bankers are up in front of the Senate today to answer questions about being so greedy and passing dept to their grandchildren.
The Canadian banks are now going to take more money from their best customers to pay for the cheap loans they have been giving to the unwitting young people of the country. This will not help things at all. The slow stupid Harper government has to tell the banks to be responsible corporate citizens. The government regulates the banks, which is good or else they would be as broke as the American banks or even the Iceland banks. So mister Harper, regulate the banks, instead of the banks regulating you. Do your job that you were elected to do for a change! Remember that you are on probation.
