Steller’s Jay in the Pine Pass of British Columbia

I just got back from a week long road trip to Salmon Arm and Banff/Jasper National Parks. My trip in the parks was wrecked when the heater in my new camper went south. It was very cold high in the mountains that night and I had not enough blankets to keep warm. I left Lake Louise at 2:30 AM and drove to Prince George to where my camper came from to get the heater repaired. Was I ever pissed driving through one of the most beautiful places on the planet in the dark. There went my picture taking.

The picture of the Steller’s Jay was taken at the Azouzetta Lake camp ground, in the Pine Pass through the Rocky Mountains. The Steller’s Jay is the provincial bird of B.C. The Steller’s Jay on Wikipedia. Pictured below is the campground, a very nice laid back spot to spend some time at.
